Terms & conditions
These terms apply when you use the Blend website, book a table, attend an event or visit one of our cafés. We’ve kept them as plain and short as we can. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer under UK law, including the Consumer Rights Act 2015.

About us
Blend is an independent café group trading as Blend on the Hill, with sites in Bournemouth, Broadstone and Southbourne. References to “we”, “us” and “our” mean Blend. You can contact us at hello@blendonthehill.co.uk.
Using the website
You may use the site for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to misuse the site, attempt to access it in unauthorised ways, introduce malicious code, scrape content at scale, or interfere with its normal operation. We may suspend access if these terms are breached.
Bookings
- A booking is confirmed when you receive our confirmation email.
- Tables are held for 15 minutes past your booking time; after that we may release them.
- Larger groups may be asked for card details or a deposit to secure the booking.
- Please let us know about allergies, intolerances or access needs in advance so we can prepare.
- Cancellations are appreciated as early as possible. Where a deposit applies, our cancellation terms will be set out at the time of booking.
- We may need to amend or cancel a booking in exceptional circumstances; we’ll always give as much notice as we can and refund any deposit paid.
Events & private hire
Events and private hire are subject to a separate booking agreement which sets out deposits, final numbers, menu choices and cancellation terms. Those terms sit alongside, and where relevant override, the booking section above.
Allergens & food safety
We provide allergen information in line with Natasha’s Law and Food Standards Agency guidance. While we take care to manage cross-contact, our kitchens handle allergens including gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, sesame and soya, so we can’t guarantee a fully allergen-free environment. Please always speak to the team before ordering.
Pricing & payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Prices and menus may change. A discretionary service charge may be added to tables of six or more; it is shared with our team and can be removed on request. Payment is taken at the end of your visit unless agreed otherwise.
Gift cards & vouchers
Where we offer gift cards or vouchers, the specific terms (validity, redemption, refunds) will be provided at purchase. Gift cards are not exchangeable for cash and are valid only at our cafés unless stated otherwise.
Behaviour in our cafés
We want our cafés to feel welcoming for everyone. We may refuse service or ask guests to leave where behaviour is abusive, unsafe or otherwise unreasonable. Assistance dogs are always welcome.
Content & intellectual property
All branding, photography, illustrations, video and written content on this site belong to Blend or are used with permission. You may not reproduce, distribute or create derivative works without our prior written consent. For press, partnership or content requests, please get in touch — we usually say yes.
User-submitted content
If you submit content to us (for example, via a contact form, review or social tag), you confirm you have the right to do so and grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use it in connection with Blend. You can ask us to stop using your content at any time.
Privacy
How we handle personal data is set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
Liability
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights as a consumer, or anything else that cannot legally be limited or excluded.
Subject to the above, we are not liable for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, or for losses arising from your failure to comply with these terms. Our website is provided on an “as is” basis; we make reasonable efforts to keep it available and accurate but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version in force is the one published on this page on the date of your visit or booking.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any dispute is subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
